Most of you might have noticed that I haven't really written anything about my studies for a while; there is a reason, as I haven't really got my head around it yet. And as the assignments are due mostly in the end on April, I haven’t really made any effort to get them done. Now my focus point has been in the essays that I’m writing to Finland, so no news there. However I have two modules running now, one it the Research&Ethics and the other is Interprofessional education: Health in the community.

Our Research&Ethics module is a mix of lectures and essays, well, one essay and then we have to fill an Ethical approval form. Anyway, the lectures have been interesting, fairly different in many ways that I’m used to. As a part of the module we also have meetings with our personal tutor about the essay that we should to. The essay is more or less a research proposal; I’m not sure how I’m going to do it, as I’m not doing my theses here. In any case, we have to write some sort of proposal of 2500 words. I hopefully get some more information as I have my tutor appointment on Friday.

The other module, Interprofessional education; Health in the community is a very different case. The module builds from a few lectures and also, we have two days that we spend in and agency and we meet the professionals and service users in person. We also have to interview a social worker, a service user and one other professional that works with social workers. And based on those interviews we should write an essay of 2000 words. Sounds interesting and also a bit frightening, as we have to do the interviews of the professionals as an individual.

So that’s most of the things that are happening right now, though today I got my first feedback from the course work. I expected worse that it was, so that’s a relief. I got praises from my spelling (which is a surprise for me) and also the essay’s structure was marked as good, not goodgood, but anyway good. I’m not going to tell you which parts were that “not good ones” but in general, I’m fairly pleased. I still haven’t received any evaluation of the presentation we had before Christmas, which is weird.

Buuuuut, I think this was it for today, I should probably that reading for my essay again..
